Sheer Curtain is a photo series centered around bringing awareness to bisexual/pansexual/queer invisibility and/or erasure. As a whole, this means the hurt, discrimination, and frequent invalidation of bisexuals, pansexuals, queers, etc. experience in both the LGBQT community as well as the heterosexual community. The photos included a collection of individuals who identify with the labels bisexual, queer, pansexual, no label, and so forth. The individuals are layered with a semi-translucent sheet to represent the curtain society has shrouded over them and a multitude of others whose sexualities align with theirs.
The question that is called upon is why are these individuals often invalidated, ruled out as fake, or non existent?
To stop the erasure, it must be acknowledged.
