Sheer Curtain is a photographic series centered around bringing awareness to bisexual/pansexual/queer invisibility and erasure. The series navigates through pain, discrimination, and frequent invalidation of bisexuals, pansexuals, and queer-identifying individuals experience in both the LGBQT community as well as the heterosexual community. The photos featured include a collection of individuals who identify as bisexual, queer, and pansexual. The individuals are layered with a semi-translucent sheet of different textures to represent the curtain society has shrouded over them.
Drawing question to the invalidation experienced by those who do not align with a binary.
To cease the erasure, it must be acknowledged.
